History/Significance Havelis are an important part of the built heritage of the historic village of Peharsar. What is today a sleepy little village is said to have once been a flourishing place. One obvious result of prosperity was the building of large havelis or medieval houses, mosques and wells by rich nobles.
Threat Neglect and lack of maintenance
Remark Mughal nobles conquered Peharsar in a ‘pehar’ meaning three hours hence the name of the village.
